Eight years ago, when our kids were just two and three years old, we visited the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, on a road trip. It was November, cold and raining, but the leaves were spectacular. I've been dreaming about visiting again ever since.
Last week, after my Christian Mommy Writers' Retreat in Asheville, my husband and kids drove up to meet me, and we embarked on a full day of exploring the Biltmore again. We had a grand time trying to capture photos that mimicked those we took eight years ago (see those at the bottom). I have to say that I prefer the estate in the fall. While I'd looked forward to seeing the gardens in the summer, it was just too hot to thoroughly enjoy them, and I'll take fall leaves and a warm sweater and boots over summer heat any day.
Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy the photos of our grand adventure!
